i know the Nextrack command works but are there more?

If you want to play MP3's without 3rd party software... Install your MP3's into a folder called "mp3" (you have to make this folder) in your NS directory. In game type (in console), "mp3 play mp3\SongName.mp3"

Play cds?.... Prevtrack, stopmusic.... Those worked in HL.. I think.. uh... I use winamp, to tell you the truth, maybe someone else who plays CDs should awnser this question.

I suggest using the folder so you don't confuse yourself when changing files in the NS dir.
