It basically means that the closer something gets to looking like an actually human, it starts to look creepier and creepier, until it looks exactly like a human. The model looks too much like a plastic doll to me. In my opinion, it's not done well enough to be included in any game. It should either be made much more realistic or should be more stylized. It just looks half-Barbie, half-zombie right now.

Edit: the model work is encredible, but seeing a hot 3D anime chick fighting aliens doesn't seem right.... I mean, wouldn't rines have scars and such on their face, and be raggedy in general?.. Amazing work non the less, however.....
Because having mdels that detailed means you would get about 1/2 a frame an hour. Sheena (the insanely talented gal who made that model) has a machine with 8 gigs of RAM and it <u>still</u> takes her a while to render one of the models.
you could get something that good looking in source with a a low poly model and normal maps for the detail

Game engines take rendering shortcuts... That being said, get back to me when you can build a game engine that properly handles nurbs.
This thing will never be in NS because currently it is using a rough average of about infinaty minus one polies. It could be converted and optimized, but most likely it would just compleatly wreck the good looks of the model.
