I had that when I was 7, we used some salve (mainly to make it stop itching) but it took several months before they disappeard by themselves. The fastest thing is probably to freeze em off as you said.

Had one on my right hand when I was five. Was frozen off. Completely painless, and pretty cool for a five years-old.

I saw a program on TV where this bloke had a wart removed by using some sort of insect like a preying mantis to chew it off <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> Judging by the look on the blokes face it must have a hurt a little bit.

I saw an ad on TV for a product you can buy to freeze warts from home. Can't think fo the name though.

I'm sure you can go buy some liquid nitrogen and bathe your hand in it. (read do not try this, less you be without a hand)

I tried freezing, burning, and medication-assisted ripping; eventually I had to dig 2 of 'em out. Quite painless really, considering your getting a growth physically torn out of your skin. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

He joined the forums today, he still in that irritating new person stage who posts things for the hell of it and really doesn't contribute anything to the thread.

Give him time, and if he doesn't get himself banned, he'll learn eventually.

    hehehehehehehe

I ussed to get planters warts on my feat (hurt like a MOFO)

had em burned (acid) and scraped off in multiple sesions by a doc.

    god those things were freaky.

    I still get em regularly, but not as bad as I ussed to <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I had one for years that I worked on (on my finger). In the end, a combination of ruthless acid treatment (home removal kit) and steroids did it in. The steroids I got from a doctor when I got a bit of poison ivy sap on my skin (think itchy tar) - so I was prescribed them for that, and it cleared up the wart too.

Freezing is always good. You could do it yourself with a can of compressed air (spray it upside-down) - a six second spay gave me a pretty decent burn on my hand - puffed up and everything (hurt for about a week).

Sleep with duct tape over the wart. This takes a while to remove it but it does work...eventually. Take the duct tape off when you wake up, or just leave it on all day up to you.

I had a couple of warts once. I burned them of in a quirky fashion.

I had one of those lightning ball things as a kid(small tesla generator and a conductive coated glass bulb). I once figured out that if you put a big metal object on those, put a small thin wire on it, it would build up enough charge on the outside layer that it would actually cause a spark between any somewhat decent conductor you put within a few mm from the tip of the cord, and it will burn very shallow. I accidentally burned myself with it a couple of times, I barely noticed until I noted the smell(you know what hair smells like when it burns?).

When I got warts a bunch of years later I tried burning them with a piece of khantal wire and a small DC 12V transformer but that really hurt, really bad and didn't seem to do much. Tried it a few times with the 'lightning ball' thingamajig and it worked, hurt like **** though when you accidentally burned too deep, and it certainly stank up the place.

I used to have 2 on the end of each finger (just before the nail), a big one just before each thumbnail, and a huge one on the webbing of each hand (between the thumb and the rest of the hand). I used to chew them like mad (I was young) but nothing really worked and then literally i woke up one day and they were gone. Never come back.

I know they can be annoying and embarassing sometimes so I wouldn't recommend just waiting for them to go but I can't really vouch for the other treatments as nothing really worked for me.

I had warts on my hand for quite a while, until I got them frozen at the doctor's. It was completely painless and they cleared up within a week and never came back. Other methods can work somewhat, but that's because your psychology has a significant effect on them. My dad's a doctor and one of his friends treats them in a funny way: He shines an ultraviolet light over the warts and tells the patient to come back later. The patient thinks it's an effective treatment (when it does nothing medically) and comes back with a fraction of the warts. He then treats the rest conventionally.

Not a one. Though I do have a callus on the left side of the second finger on my right hand, probably from gripping a pen for 12 years of school. Which makes me wonder if everyone else has a callus there as well...

I had two on my left hand. I went to the doctors to get them frozen off, but it didn't work. I just kept ripping them off myself and one day they just went away.
