Soooo.....

I Just re-sized and cut the old school 1.0 Background and 2.0 console into menus to work in Steam. Also, I made the Fan Art from Medhead into a menu. (By that, I mean the game menu, not Steam itself.)

Edit: Added another BG, resized the first two BG's... Used S-Spline to resize the images to 1024x768, and blurred away any pixelation. I put A LOT of work into these! (in other words, they look GREAT!)

I hope everyone enjoys these as much as they did when they first saw them!

Oh, and SnappyCrunch, Email me (2swift@gmail.com) so we can settle the hosting.

The menu is 800x600 resolution, so it should not stretch.

I'll host them all if you make 1024x768 versions.

Here's the 3.0 default background resized to 1024x768 and set up to work in steam, if you want a reference. Does anyone know who made that, BTW? The search function is always borked for me.

Okay, I resized them all for high res. Enjoy =D

Edit: Tell me if you guys are having any problems with them. I think I either cut them wrong or named them wrong, or maybe it's a setting I don't have...

Well, the ones you have in the first post are now housed at http://www.snappycrunch.com/ns/swifts_steam_backgrounds/ However, the only ones there are the 800x600 versions... Where did you put the 1024x768 versions? You can post them here or email them to snappycrunchATgmailDOTcom.

All the ones up there are 1024x768 ones, but when I use them it seems the picture is too large for the menu. I don't know if this is a huge mistake I did in naming, cutting, etc. or if I just don't have a setting made correct...

Edit: i cut them like the one you showed me... what are these two text files supposed to go, however?

The picture is too large for the menu because Steam thinks your 1024x768 picture is 800x600, so it's only showing 800x600 worth of the pixels. The text files go exactly where they are, just outside the "background" folder. I think that's the "resource" folder. Inside the text files you'll see the first line, and that's what tells Steam the native resolution of your background image. Without those text files, or that first line in the text files, Steam will assume your image is 800x600.
