Man, this game owns.

"OMG THERE IT IS AAAHHHH!"

Voice communication has never added so much atmosphere to a game. I wish my mic worked.

I dunno, Zombie Panic was quite fun and atmospheric with voice comm, especially when people tried to role play.

When cartman started going "Guiness..." as a zombie though, then it started to get a bit silly.

you didnt miss much. It was on Holy Devil's host, and he totally raped us. This mod is not lag friendly. You cant hit anything!

If you get onto a server with ~70 ping(there aren't many, I know), it shouldn't be a problem.

a un-organized mod release like this can kill a mod outright...
i wish people would secure more or at least LARGER, DEDICATED servers instead of just a small selection of mostly listen servers.

gah! Sounds like one of my old HL mod experiments... except in my version dying made you a 'hidden' (just called them aliens) and there were 2 teams trying to claim victory. Mind you, they won by killing the queen which was a sorta boss NPC... or at least one team was trying to kill her the other... nevermind, it's not that similar after all ^^;

you just wanted to let everyone know how awesome of a game you made didn't you Gem? go on, admit it, just a little innocent self-proclaimation am i right?

I played on a pub and it was horrible, not because of bugs or gameplay, but because of random TKing that was on purpose.

I've found more often than not the bigger danger lies not in the Hidden but in my teammates =\

But this mod has good potential! I can see it going places...

~makes faces at neon~

So is it a bit like Alien Swarm in that it's a good idea for a game but you spend most of the time getting into bitter arguements and falling out because of accidents and purposeful TKing?

Dunno why but the idea of giving the hidden pipe bombs just seems a bit odd to me o.O

Sometimes TKing is nessesary when you get stuck inside someone.

Eh, the police/security model looks rather strange, almost as if he's malnourished.

This really kills me. I would so be playing some 10 minutes after the thread began, in a server full of other forumites if I had a computer capable of playing HL2... But noooooooooo.

Actually, you would be running HL2 some ten minutes after the thread began, staring at the server browser, constantly hitting refresh and trying to find an open slot on a server.

QFT - is it normal for new mods to have every server full? I see about 30 in Steam and they are all packed.

played it and was dominating a server after a couple of hours.easy to get the hang of it. definatly alot of potential, and TKing is so annoying, so i just hunt for hiddens so i can get away from all the TKing.

problems-Tking
-not all players are listed when hitting tab
-there can be multiple hiddens per round

and somone said there were around 80 people playing it. alot of potential, and i hope the devs go the right way.

when i first looked at the website i thought of the movie with kevin bacon where he is invisible

A. That's an incredibly good sign for any mod.

B. Assuming it's an NS Boards server that is passworded and only given out here, I doubt it would fill up that fast. Unless the maxplayer setting is unnecessairily low.

If subject 617 is genetically invisible, then does that mean he's naked? And if so, then it begs the question - Where does he keep his grenades?
