Can you use Hammer 4.0 (HL2) to make HL1 maps? I know there are settings to make it HL1 but I'm wondering if anyone has actually gotten this to work.

If ^^ is no, where can I get Hammer 3.5? I know collective.valve-erc.com but there site has been down, and the download for 3.5 has been down even longer. Right now I'd settle for an older version.

Any help appreciated.

    On the verc forums, your quesion was also asked, it is possible to make maps for HL1 using that editor, don't know if its true or not as i just skim read that particular thread, if you cant find it on verc for H3.5 then look for it on google, if you still cant find it, then go back to VHE3.4 i use that and ive had no probloms and i prefer it, as 3.5 crashes on my pc, due to the programs i use. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Yeah..apparently it's "supposed" to work, but doesn't.
