I think what you're asking is if spores stack and do more damage. If that's the case no. No matter how many spore clouds there are in one area, the damage done is the same.

i think they should make its dmg weaker as the cloud slowly diffuses... 8 at top condensity and slowly drop in lvls of condensity... and with each exra cloud maybe add +1 dmg or just restart at top condensity of 8
... but thats probably to complicated...
o and someone brought up the question of umbra... can you stack that??? i think it does like 33% blockage of a shot... (1/3 shots miss) if you can stack it does the % rise?

I don't know the current # of bullets, it has changed way to often as of late <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Umbra grants +D1/2 VS Bullets to Any Alien Or Alien Structure and Does Not Stack.
AFAIK, the actual chance of a bullet getting cancelled by umbra is random. I don't know if they somehow jiggled the code so that it still ends up being about 50% or not though. I'm sure someone remembers.
Not sure about how long in seconds an umbra cloud lasts. Not sure about friendlyfire marine VS marine Re: Umbra. Not sure about the physical dimensions of the umbra cloud in units. Anyone?
Umbra doubles the life expectancy of anything alien inside it's radius of effect against LMGs, pistols, HMGs, and shotguns. For Umbra to take effect, the alien or alien structure must be inside of it. Umbra sprayed on marines themselves will not block bullets. Nor will a cloud of umbra intersecting the bullets themselves. Think of Umbra kind of like the lerk shooting quick-forming armor plate. Keep the umbra on the aliens themselves, and occasionally in the path where they are going to run when you can tell.
Shooting umbra on your allies themselves instead of guessing which way they will run to take them into the umbra is usually more foolproof. At least I think so. It's annoying to put the umbra somewhere on the offensive and see your buddies run away.
Spore does stack, with multiple lerks. It's hilarious. Try it.

i have a question regarding umbra lets say that umbra covers (for the sake of my post ) 10 feet if in a hundred foot hallway i spray umbra every 10 feet does it block 25 out of 100 then 12.5 then 6.37 and so on. i know it cant pile upon it self but side ways/infront does it

No.
Let's say you stack 5 umbra cloud in front of you, and a marine shoots you from the other side of the hallway. You would receive no protection if you aren't IN an umbra cloud yourself.
I bet the code just has a flag for whether or not you are umbra'ed, which is set to true by being int he cloud and false otehrwise, and that's why putting a cloud between you and the bullets won't work. Because this is a simple true/false variable, it doesn't allow room for any stacking or umbras at all.
if you mean can spore and umbra affect the same area at the same time, yes, they can.
you can spore & umbra a marine then go in for the bite kill, can be quite effective (spore gets armor, umbra covers you a bit while you bite. spore also panics inexperienced marines)

Spores do Stack! But only if they have been done by different lerks. Means:
1 Lerk shoots 1 Spore-->7 damage/sec
1 Lerk shoots 2 Spores-->7 damage/sec
2 Lerks shoot 1 spore each-->14 damage/sec
2 lerks shoot 2 spores each-->14 damage/sec
3 lerks shoot 1 spore each-->21 damage/sec
try it!

no, 1/2, read the whole thread
