I was skulking around one day and i notised that i could hear a squad of marines using commands.. like need backup and covering ect. Is that a bug or is it 4 real... me thinks its werry cool <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Then i would use the taunt button more offen to freak the marines out <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

That's one of the things that I love... you can actually hear the chatter of the Marines nearby. The audio cues in general for NS are amazing.

Whole lot of fun to hang from the ceeling (better have cloak) and use Chuckle when a marine walks in. Swear to god i scared one guy so much he must have dropped his mouse or something cuss he jerked around breifly and then just froze. Heh, reminds me of a time one of our resource things was under attack (as alien). I'm a fade and i run into the room, cant see anyone. So i start looking around, forget the map, but the room was really dark. So then, as i'm about to leave (figuring the guy ran off) i hear 'Uh, commander? I need some ammo' (one of the standard 'need ammo' radios). So i whip around facing the direction i heard the radio from (gotta love nice headphones with EAX). So i start walking over that way nice and slowly, and i realize that the shadow in the corner looks funny, so on a whim i charge into it with my arms shredding away. Killed the guy that was crouching in the corner there.

Turns out the guy was shooting the resource tower, ran out of ammo, and so decided to hide until he got more. He didn't realize that aliens could hear the radio commands. Now he knows.

On a related note, i'm not sure if aliens can hear the marine HL voice comm, but IMO it would be very VERY cool.

If the aliens could hear the marine voice com it would have to be vice wersa too,
Just think: Humans cant hear the alien voice com cause aliens cant speak.

It´s really helpful when you are hiding in the ceiling as skulk waiting for the marine to come down the hall and you suddenly hear "I need a med-pack, STAND!!"........ *chomp* *chomp*

And yes, i have heard the marines voice-comm, but that was only for a second when i died. Nothing special.
