I'm really planning to play planetside, i'm playing mostly FPS, and this one will be the first FPS "massive multiplayer", i'm following this game since it has been announced.

If you are addicted to FPS game and you like SF then take a minute and check it out u'll not be disapointed.

    Nah, in english it's Science Fiction...Fiction to me is either Fantasy or Science Fiction. I prefer the Fantasy <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> But it looks like a like Infantry...especially the units. So it has my interest.

    i'm not Verant Fan though but some main coders/programers of planetside was in the so miss Dynamix Team, so i'm sure the gameplay will be exellent.

    You was talking about sony, Verant is a part of sony, they made everquest you know ? And i really unlike Verant cause of everquest.

    And planetside will be an "mmog" (massive multiplayer online game), so you will "pay to play" and verant is not the best in this case.

    Ive been following Planetside for a bit, still looking nice. It doesnt get much publicity compared to Halo, Tribes, Renegade and other games in the same ilk, but with a little twist.

    But as halo is Xbox only, Tribes is getting rater old and Renegade is a steamy pile of dung (IHMO, dont flame me <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> ) it could just do well. I know I will certainly give it a try.

    Feh.  I'm completely against "subscribing" to a service just to play a game online.  When I buy the game, it should have free online play.  This is why I play no MMORPGs.  ######## should realize a large portion of the market isn't old enough to use a credit card or doesn't like credit cards.

    Yeah, I see what you mean but there is a lot of people who like playing MMORPGs, and to pay for all the constant updates, servers etc, they have to get in money all the time to make it worthwhile.

    I got rather addicted to Ultima Online once. But I had no cash, so it was a very short addiction (2 weeks, the time of the trial). MMORPG have the ability to become better than most other games, as they provide community within the game.
