<div class="IPBDescription">Guess......</div> I think it can be done, but does anyone know for sure if I can create a server that has a dynamic IP address and assign a DNS address to it? For example, my ip address changes every two or three days. Can I create a DNS address that is mydns.servehalflife.com, which would check my dynamic IP address every 30 minutes. and update it. Also, does anyone know of a free NSstats website that will work with DNS an address? Thanks in advance....

It's even free..
Essentially, Steam was resolving the IP address of the hostname the user typed in and then associated that IP address with the server in the Favorites. A week later, when that person tried to use that link to join the server, Steam was too stupid to see if the hostname's IP address had changed, as the hostname was never saved -- only the IP address to which the hostname resolved at the time the server was put in the Favorites was saved.
I hope that makes sense.
Anyway, that was a long time ago, and the Steam server browser may not behave that way now. It's just something to consider if you're going to publish a dynamic hostname to people whom you want joining your server.
Have been using it for over a year. Before our CS division split you could connect to it aswell with cs.
