<div class="IPBDescription">Expansions!</div> As ive been playing WOW ive noticed quite a few things that i would like to see added to WOW
Missing Factions:
Gil'Neas (spelling)
In warcraft 2 and 3 you never got to see or play them, although they did take part in the alliance. They were left as the 2nd most powerful Human nation on the Eastern continent after the defeat of Azeroth in the first war.
The Undead (not the forsaken)
Huge side, will most likely be added at a later date, cover all of northrend
Panderan Empire
They were in Warcraft III and in my opinion deserve a spot in WOW, cuz they so damn cool.
High Elves/Blood Elves
Homeland in Draenor/Outlands perhaps with portal ot azeroth?
Dranei
In warcraft lore they fought the orcs on Draenor, and you got to use them in warcraft 3 as the blood elves.
Goblins/Ogres
Seems logical to add them in
Nerubian Spiders
They would fit in with northland
Naga
They played a big part in War III, but i dont see how they would be implemented being that they live underwater
Draenor/Outland Orcs Perhaps this would be the hordes link to the Outlands and Azeroth
The lost Expedition army
The force that went chased the orcs throught the dark portal. Khadgar, Danath, Elf Ranger chick, Tylrian (spelling?) maybe they would be another city in the outlands for the alliance, along with the blood elves and Dranaei?
New classes:
Necromancers?
Race specific classes? Perhaps you could only become it if you finished/did something extremely hard/rare
Blademasters-orcs? (might take away from orc warrior)
Blood Mage-Blood Elves?
Samurai-Panderan?
One for each race?
Missing Areas:
If you played the warcraft 1+2+3 campaigns you probably noticed areas from them in WOW, but you may have also noticed areas missing from them too.
You may notice on you maps that there is quite a few areas that you cant get to cuz big **** mountains are in the way
Islands in Eastern Continent that the Proudmoores hail from(forgot the names)
Goblin lands/cities?!?!?!
Maelstrom area/islands??
Ideas/speculations would be helpful
edit

the naga are actualy all over the place but i think he is talking about adding them as a playable race
well let me explain why this wont happen
the game is about a war between the horde and alliance you only play on one side the rest of the people are neutral towards the war and they just sit around and help either side and whatnot
alot of the races you mentioned are in the world some are to be added in later expansions and whatnot as NPCs
as of right now there is no news of adding new playable races
naga,ogres, undead and goblins are all in, as for gilneas u can get to the gate.
I'm hoping they don't go the Sony/Planetside route and just hope the place runs itself, as it'll quite quickly grow stagnant.
The Forsaken on their own are worth a huge story, and the Scourge are still VERY prevalent in the background/books/end of game. Remember Kel'Thuzad is still in Lordaeron while Arthas went back to Northrend. Then there's the followers of Illidan who could do with expansion.
I just hope they plan to make the place more RPG-esque and less FPS-esque. Where oh where is my PVP-RP server, not <b>that</b> would be the best thing ever.

Now I WAS going to pass this thread by, but now I see I am going to perform the laying down of the smack.
Yes, planetside has been though a tough period lately. At one point the entire community was whining "Oh, planetside is dead dude, i've cancelled my sub, this suxx0rs".
But you know what? We're recovering. Thanks to the playerbase.
<a href='http://www.vgonetwork.com/Article.aspx?id=185' target='_blank'>Planetside Guerilla marketing</a>
HOLY CRAP! Those two screenies at the bottom right are mine! Woohoo, i'm net-famous!
And you know what? It actually worked. We were hit pretty hard by:
A: People leaving over the BFRs (big battlemechs, horribly unbalanced)
B: People leaving to play WoW and EQII
C: People leaving because everyone they knew was leaving (vicious circle)
But we've recovered. The BFRs are now pretty balanced, seeing as the pilots now whine about them as much as everyone else does, people are realising EQII and WoW are just grinds, and most of all, people are reacting to the planetside guerilla marketing campaign.
I'm seeing people online I haven't seen in months; last week we had 22 people in a platoon and proceeded to roll 6 tanks and own anything that got in our way. We had two poplocks last night. If you haven't played you won't know what that means, but its something we haven't had in a loooooooong time.
Run itself? The devs are now planning to run events with EVERY patch release, owing to the popularity of the "Bending" event. They are currently undergoing an overhaul of the command system, not to mention working on new base designs and a "New infantry weapon".
Also, if you live in the UK, check out this month's PC Format. You may be pleasantly suprised.

Erm, okay? I wasn't insulting your family or something, was I? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Incidentally....

Well, that was rather my point. SOE pretty much dropped interest after they realised they weren't going to milk as much money from it anymore, and began to lose interest. It was only action from the playerbase that actually caused them to put development time in again.
I think we have an 'ownership' issue there. Every comment is 'we've' recovered. I wasn't meaning you particularily, or even the community. I meant the game itself.

Planetside IS my family!
*salutes Terran Republic flag and proceeds to spray the thread with MCG bullets*
Oh and back on topic, the high elves are dead. Arthas killed them all. Now i'm not sure exactly why there shouldn't still be a few high elves alive, but their capital city was pretty much undeadified, so where would their start location be? I guess they could share Stormwind with the Humans...

Illidan is his own guy, but he knows that he cant ally with any of the other factions. The blood elves are sore towards to horde for allying with the forsaken and for previous insults (burning forestlands, eternal hatred towards trolls). The blood elves also dont like the alliance either. Heck I could go on forever here.
In all likelihood, any new faction would be against both sides.
It would make sense to bring the nerubians into Illidans fold. They hate the undead and Arthas/Lich King as much as Illidan does. An alliance of convenience between the two parties would offer much to illidan as well as bolstering the nerubians forces.
The horde would never ally themselves with the outland orcs. They are the cursed servants of the legion. The red skin denoted throughout the blood elf campaign shows that they are STILL infused with Mannoroths demonic blood and have probably been cursed for so long that a reversal of fate would be impossible for them.
And we've also forgotten about Maiev Shadowsong. She still hunts Illidan, and will probably be hunting for his servants, Akama, Kael, and Lady Vashj as well. If memory serves she did bring considerable forces into outland and would be a major threat to the blood elves, not to mention the incredible number of Demons, fel orcs and such.
Goblins and Ogres dont seem to be good additions.
For one, Ogres are DENSE, unless your an Ogre Mage with two heads. And for two, only one ogre clan is aligned with the horde, the Stonemaul ogres, and even then, they got their butts blasted by a bunch of dragons.
Goblins are no longer aligned with the horde. The few that are are probably payed some top silver to stay put.
All things aside, if they put in Blood Elves as a playable race, regardless of their factional alliance I'd play as a Spell Breaker in a heartbeat.
Wonder what a good name for the faction could be. Something like the Outcasts maybe?
a new side would kick ****, and now that u said it, it seems logical
Naga, Blood Elves, Dranaei, Outworld Orcs, Nerubians?
Personally i hope the next alliance race is the Panderans. I mean how bad **** would that be?

Fire them all, they are good for nothing more! Stupid books.
Also, not too sure about the pandas, they were just in warcraft 3 as an easter egg in a bonus map.

um, BTW Illidan died, so it would be kinda hard for him to lead a new race if he allready died.

When did he die? In the books? If so that makes me sad, because a raid encounter with him is something I've been looking forward to in the future of WoW.
<i>Or does he?</i>
{Edit}
And if it's not in the game, I wont even consider to be canon. Maiev was too much of a loose end in War3 to simply pass off in some backwater book that 97% of the fan base will probably never see.
<i>Or does he?</i> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yes, I did finish it and I thought that he died, but in my friend's CE manual it says that he was simply "outmaneuvered by Arthas and forced to flee back to Outland" or something like that.
I'm playing through WC3 and FT atm since I can't get WoW for another 3 weeks, so I'll check that.
Edit: Well it's all good then Shockwave <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
He takes the Blood Elves & Naga to Outland. This isn't even in the books, Arthas DOES defeat him, but he doesn't get killed. I swear, I could weep.

I did finish Frozen Throne, but I can't remember that cinematic and a friend has my CDs. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
