I have found out that in 3F the chepaers obs scan is the way of winning. Due lowered scan-cost of 20 you can have infinite scans in reasonable places if you just make 2 observatories. What do you think about this?

On the actual topic subject, Obs are key, but only if the aliens actually go sensory first or second hive. (which isn't garenteed.)
But when they have MCs or DCs, you really don't need to scan *that* much. : X 20 res might be better spent elsewhere early game. (Hell, get MT, works almost as well if no sensories, and it's constant/static/whatnot.)

True, and I'm all for having 2 obs later in the game even if they don't use sensory at all, it's just early game, res can be hard to come by. :/

You can also sepnd 2 scans on some one skulk who is trying to get your rt builder down, or even better oyur pg builder you also notice immediatly if there is reinforcments coming.
