Problems Attaining Lvl 3 Upgrades?

Heya guys, just curious about how to upgrade to lvl 3 when playing aliens...

Even with all three hives, and defensive tower icons next to each one, I've only seen (2) in the upgrade menus. (Cloaking(2) for example, never Cloaking(3)). Am I missing something? Thanks.

Yes.

The number of upgrades depends on the Builder, and the Builder alone.

For each chamber a Gorge makes, you get one upgrade.

For example, a Gorge builds one Defense Chamber, you get one Defense Upgrade.

If he builds two Defense Chambers, you get two Defense upgrades - and so on.

The only thing the Hives do, is prevent/allow chamber types. It doesnt regulate how many of one specific chamber.

Wait, so in theory, if youw ant to get all the possible upgrades, u need 27 upgrade chambers?

3x defensive = Level 3 Defense Skill
and so on.
You can only have one skill fom each catagory.

does the 3rd level cloaking make u fully invisable? , regenaration is probaly one of the best to get if its at level 3

The (2) is not the upgrade level, it's the resource point cost. If you want to know the level, get the upgrade type and note how many little overlapping pictures show up on the right side of your screen.

Level 3 cloaking is complete invisibility.

Can i spin and look around while invisible without it coming off or what.

You can look around while cloaked without breaking the cloak. If you move, fire a weapon, or build a structure you will uncloak.

Actually, you can build structures while cloaked, making cloaking a very useful 1st hive upgrade for early gorges.

I tried to tell my team this once, so I could camp out the marine base and parasite them as they spawned in, and otherwise harrass them, perhaps as a lerk, but got flamed by the team on how you HAVE TO get defensive chambers first..

is there a maximum of upgrade towers ? I know you get to see 3 icons in your screen when you have 3 of the same upgrade towers .. but it doesnt show more then 3 ? ,... does this mean 3 sensortowers is max you can get ?

No, you can have as many towers as you want. However, once you have 3, you always get the level 3 upgrade. If you have fifteen defensive towers, you dont get a level 15 defensive upgrade. The indicators AFTER you upgrade show you what level of that upgrade you have. Before you upgrade, it merely indicates that you CAN upgrade in that category, not how many towers there are.
