Installing 3.0? This Goes Without Saying.

Run it bare-bones to start with.
I find it hard to fathom why any server op with a shread of intelligence would do a fresh install on a NEW release and install 3rd party software on top of it.

You can't analyze your server's performance with a new release like this with upteen plugins installed ... FFS start off with it plain vanilla!

i disagree. Generally you only need to do a bare install if you find out you are having problems.

This is the way i have always ran my servers and have never had problems. Generally you should do it the way you find is best for you and your servers

To support my line of thinking, 3.0 servers are suffering performance wise. It is also know that several plugins (amxx and metamod) are causing similar performance issues.

We can't help the devs isolate these performance issues if we're not running a plain vanilla server. You, or I, nor anyone else can accurately assess to date the issues created if addons are installed.

I ran mine stripped for 24 hours then began re-installing plugins and custom maps, not all at once but a few at a time as there are so many bugs.
