This is really great! I really like what you did with the infestation in the first and last shots. Your lighting has lots of contrast, and has some nice color in there without overdoing it. I really like the grated lift looking thing the vehicle is on. The ceiling also looks awesomely detailed.

One thing I would add is some railing up on the ledge... that would make it even more spiffy... or something.

These are great.  I'd love to see some ambient particles somewhere, or possibly a little more debris.

I like the tentacle, though it may end up being more fitting to just turn it into more of an "ooze" than an actual tentacle.  Great shots.

If I had just created that room, I would do the following:

    1.  Follow Ken's advice and add a railing.
    2.  Go to fridge and get a beer.
    3.  Open beer and take very large pull.
    4.  Come up for air with a very vocal "aahhhhh".
    5.  Put my feet up.
    6.  Pat myself on the back.

Well done!  And don't start second guessing yourself (seems to be alot of that going around).  That room is great!  Keep up the good work.  <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

I would be jealous and seeing an opening, kick the chair out from under you, devouring your brains after your head cracks open, following old myths that you gain the knowledge of your enemies if you eat their brains, in a feeble attempt to gain mapping skillz.

This level just looks GOOD. Usually there is some small things I can make a point about, but this is just all around nice! My only quip is I don't like the looks of the front window of the truck, it looks a little unsteady being so big with such a small connection. The railing has already been mentioned and that is all I can say.
The usual Flayra bit of maybe making the light a little more contrasting, but this is the marine spawn so I think it looks just fine. Keep up the good work!

That non-slip floor texture could to with being scaled down.

Ok thanks guys for all the suggestions, they were very good suggetions!!
I put some steam coming from the brocken wall scalled the flour texture to 1.5 instead of 2, which didnt harm the r_speeds too much. I tryed to put railings in but I didn't like them, everything I tryed looked ugly and bumped the r_Speeds too high. I think Ive fixed the truck window too.

The tenticel Im keeping - Ive been trying to decide what to do for my "infection"(dont like that word, "alien habitat" would be better) I was looking at the aliens and they all look kind of messy - like they aren't really a complet thing, more like a collection of different plants and animals mixed together. I was thinking about evolution too and how the aliens can evolve very quickly - now Ive read a lot of sci-fi and I was thinking about bob shaws Blood music - and the organic chaos of strange forms which exists after all the humans are tuned into single cells - so I came up with a theory that perhaps the aliens have massive amounts of redundent genetic code - which their species has carryed around for a long time - code which can produce every thing from an clawed hoof to the flower. Anyway Im planning to have my alien part reflect this evolutionery and chaotic nature by including little flower .MDLs and bits of the aliens them selves(horns and stuff) perhaps some weird half formed limbs etc. I think it would look really cool - and very scarry. Im trying to think of a better way to describe it - have you ever seen swamp thing?? <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> Ok any way perhaps I can get some of these things to change and evolve too like animate a pretty flower into a thorn. Im sure it can be done without coding anything.
    Anyway Pictures!
New fan - very subtle - looks good in game

I -really- like that melange of body parts idea. Very Zerg-ish, without the control they had.

haha! love the tentacle! it looks so... like a cool guy's tentacle!! (if guy's had tentacles) (wait! they have&#33<!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
    *hangs myself again*

Good idea with the chaotic evolution and all. Let's just see what the team says.
your not the team are you? Cuz then iv'e really made a fool of myself AGAIN. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I'm curious, you mean you'll make a flower turn to a horn during the game?

Ive read Dune 3 times in fact my first ever map was about it (but it sucked) windtrap TFC map very brocken probably the only good thing about it is the worm. Anyway the flowsers was just an example maybe little screaming green heads on long necks coming out to the alien stuff - I don't know its only an idea.

I really like your idea about the alien parts in the infestation, Mu. As long as it isn't too disgusting or gory, I bet it would work out wonderfully.

maybe i missed it somewhere buti think it would be important to scale the floor texture differently, the texture is unrealalisticly stretched in comparison to the other textures, otherwise looks great
