When the eggs health is below 50% there is a 20% change each second that it will blow up killing all marines in a radius of 5 metres. That will teach them knifing poor eggys

In the NS/Models/Player/Gestate folder lies the model. Open it up in HLMV to look at the animations. I think that they are all there, they just never played correctly in game.
I think what he means is when you move your mouse when egged, instead of just your view changing, the other players perception of you (the egg) moved also. meaning the egg would spin on the spot, not very egg like.
just view it in HLMV, the egg doesn't move when you look around(i'm pretty sure at least). they said that egg animations now play....and according to the animations already there, when you shoot it, the base stays stationary, but the egg kinda....twiches.... and when you kill it, it does deflate, kinda gets longer and skinnier
What I understand under egg movement is that, when you are looking from inside the egg perspective, the egg is growing (meaning your point of view gets higher) when you are evolving to a higher alien lifeform. This is especialy visible when you move to fade or ono.
This annimation used to play in one of the earlier versions but suddenly dissapeared (I may be mistaken but it used to makes things crash, or they just forgot to put it back in). So in my opinion this will get back in. (Unless it's the annimation that just didn't show up on my computer, but I doubt that.)
Of course it is also possible that when you rotate your view in your egg by using your mouse to move around, that a third pary can see your egg move. But I don't think that is what is meant by the egg annimation, cuz to my knowledge that was never implemented in ns. So what was never part of it can't be put BACK in.
like i said, the said they fixed the broken egg animations, if you view them in HLMV they have a die animation.....which you will not see in beta5, so i believe they fixed that, along with other egg animations (like taking damage and stuff). about my prev. post: i meant to say i'm pretty sure that others dont see the egg move when you look around, but i accidently said does instead of doesnt, so i fixed it
Yes, the only thing that has changed, is that the animations for the egg have been fixed, it now wriggles whilst gestating, looking more organic, rather than hard and static.

On the few occasions I have played with bots on ns_ mode. When they are in an egg and you appear. The egg jumps across the hive! It turns too. How is this possible o_O.
