HHGtoG has been ported so many times that I don't see why this version should suck. From its original radio form to book to TV series...all have been good.

(I never played the game for some reason, so I don't know whether that was good or not.)

That looked great. However, what worries me is that Fantastic Four Trailer on the right.

I'll probably go see it. Sweet mother, if this movie is good, that means we have a much better chance of some Terry Pratchett films.

The greatest part of this trailer is how it PRECISELY mirrors the typical movie trailer. Spot-on.

I'm looking forward to the movie, actually I read the entire book a week ago just to get a jump on things. Did anyone find the book to be a little boring? I'm hoping the movie deviates from the norm that was found in the book... maybe it just wanst my kind of humor.

    Ps: 1337 post alert!

Don't know the plot behind the hitchhiker's books and want to know where all this came from?

Play the text game that started it all. Note that without outside help your chances of escaping your house alive are rather slim.

you suck at funny. The books were hilarious, all of them. but you need a bit of intelligence, and preferably some other Sci-fi reading to help you understand a few of the jokes.

the TV series i found less than exciting, but it wasn't BAD per-se. god oh god i hope the movie is good. if not i will defile the freshly filled grave of whomever is responsible for making it crap.

Trailer is awesomeness btw. Hope they don't cut too much to fit it all into one movie =<

I don't, but I do like the voice.

I always imagined a more human-like figure. It allows to use the mopey body-language more effectively.

I like marvin's new look, it kind of explains why he's so depressed all the time; he looks like a christmas decoration.

The game is EVIL! I can stop the bulldozer, i just can't get out of the mud without the bulldozer knocking down my house and killing me via flying debris.

I made it out of my house, I can't seem to get away from the bulldozer though. Lol.

I even tried taking off my robe while laying in the mud. The moment I stand up a brick seems to always hit me.

Thanks god, my faith in humanity is restored.

(I still find Pratchett funnier than Adams, but until they get around to the Good Omens movie, I'll take what's on offer.)

Pratchett was funnier, but he started declining around the time that he took Vimes out of Ankh-Morpork.

I dare you to read 'The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents', which was written way after 'The Fifth Elephant', and repeat that.

I have got to tell you the most important thing you've ever heard. I have to tell you now, and I have to tell you in this thread right here.

Marvin wasn't very paranoid, more like manic-depressive.

I'm afraid I beat you to it! Mwah ha ha!

I still read his books (haven't read the latest one...Postal something...). I just think that he doesn't have his zing, his pizazz, his mojo, his touch, his tooty-fruity. Lords and Ladies or Men-At-Armswere his peak IMHO.
