Hud_fastswitch 1

<div class="IPBDescription">Doesn't work :S</div> Alright, I've done everything. It's in the config, I type it into the console, etc. It <i>is</i> active, because I don't have to +attack after pressing a slot key, but the weapon draw/cocking animations are still playing, and the delay is messing up my scripts. What the hell is going on?

umm, no you don't get to cheat by ussing hud_fastswitch 1

the delays are inthere for a reason, hud_Fastswitch isn't just gona let you skip them.

It's not cheating... If you spectate people who know what they're doing, you'll see that there weapon switches have no animations to them.

And to clarify, I didn't mean to get rid of the delay in drawing the gun, that's hard-coded. Just the delay in clearing the sprites.

    This is exactly why I dont like certain scripts <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

What do you mean? No script can remove the draw time of a weapon.

you dont see the animation cause your spectating them, they still see them. hud_fastswitch 1 removes the sprites, and you said it was working, so whats the problem?

hud_fastswitch has never worked for my mousewheel, works fine on the slots, and the only work arround i knew of, is now blocked...

So indeed i do agree fastswitch is broken <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> but for different reasons.

or instead of complaining that something is broken you could realize that it isn't <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

there are 2 sets of commands for cycling weapons.

one is invnext and invprev, the othere set involves impulses and I don't remembere.

As I use neither I don't remember which is which, but one will instal switch (I tihnk invnext/prev) and one will not.

I'm not talking about the act of switching weapons. I'm talking about not having the animations played, because, when they are played, they increase the delay of the draw longer than it should be on my low-fps comp.

as I said, the animations will ALWAYS play, AND they are suposed to.

you can not draw weapons instantly, you will always have the draw time.

I'm not trying to rid of the draw time, I'm trying to get rid of extra time it takes for the animations to play because of my fps.

yet the exact same mouse and slot config on day of defeat, fastswitch does both the slots and invnext/prev. Therefore, broken! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

That is the draw time. It shouldn't take any longer for your animations to play.

Well, if it is FPS dependant, than all you can do is upgrade your computer.
