The Absolute Basics

i see people joining the Kharaa and being utterly lost all the time. here are a few little things ive picked up(i dont mean to sound condescending. so if i do, i appologize)



Skulks - use that wall climb, and dont forget those vents


Gorges - webs and health sprays are their greatest contribution. dont try to actually kill anything with these(its possible, but not really worth the effort. these are the support, and thus, the backbone of a Kharaa army)


Lerks - probably the best guys in the game. w/ 3 hives, they are practically unstopable(PRACTICALLY! lol). umbra and spore cloud are killer moves. umbra is usefull... well, ALL the time. use it for support(for ANY other evolution), or use it as simple protection. sporecloud is 100% evil. spray those pesky mariens(while youre out of sight) and they WILL freak out. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> awsome move


Fades - those claws are a lot stronger then the cannon/bomb for a reason. all i really can say is, get used to blinking, and be sure you dont treat the two projectiles like Rocket Launchers. they just werent meant to be used as long-distance destructo-matics. theyre good, yes. but they arent that good. learn to love the claws


Onos - cloaking Onos. ROFL. genious, pure genious. seriously though, if you wanna freak the hell outta marines, cloak(level 3) and wait with Paralyze(cant spell) ready. then just rip apart that stupid HA marien who was just walking around like nothing was going on. personally, i dont like charge very much. but, to each his own. in short, these guys are good. but they arent walking Nukes. they need to be finessed just like the others.





as for taking out turrets:

two gorges can devistate a marine outpost(itll take a LONG time, but it can be done). rather than go into great detail, ill just say: O and D turrets together. despite popular beliefe, the alien O towers are VERY good.

    Ah you forgot one major aspect :

    - zone control

    Within the 1st 15-30 minutes :

    Skulks need to
    - aggressively stalk / harrass Marines
    - aggressively scout for open resource nodes near the Marine main base for marine expansion outpost
    - rush to rescue any alien structures under fire

    Gorges need to
    - secure nodes
    - secude hives

    Control the zones and you win the match!

    Just one more important thing, you need to learn how to use basic aliens..... (Skulk) you will be skulking around like the 80% of the time.......

    rgr. i didnt even touch on the intricacies of the actual war itself (probably the best part of the game).

    Only some times when things are not so tension for the Kharaa team, and I want to push forward with some defensive chambers, and I have some extra resources on me, I morph into Gorge to lay down some defensive chambers.

    Late game with 3 Hives, I go Fade and spam the last Marine base with Bile Bombs. lol
