You can't ban bunnyhopping in pubs, because there are plenty of pubbers who can hit bunnyhopping skulks most of the time. That group just doesn't make up the majority as far as I can tell. If you take bunnyhopping out of pubs, then there is literally no difference between what a average and what an excellent skulk player can do movement-wise, which is just dumb. Bunnhopping IS balanced for both clan and pub play; good people kill with it, bad people get killed with it. That's a sign of GOOD balance, dammit, that the outcome of the game depends on player skill. People should stop complaining and just accept the fact that *gasp* there are people out there better than they are. So...much...b****ing....
Heh, I don't know why people don't try to improve and learn how to bhop and learn how to shoot skulks that are trying to bhop at you as a marine. It isn't like it's hard to learn how to bhop, most people could probably figure it out by taking like 10 seconds to spectate a player that is doing it frequently. Hell, there are guides and such out there on the subject, if a player isn't willing to use those resources then too bad.
As for removing bhopping, it's an engine issue, they may not be able to simply remove it.
i see a skulk bhopping in the open as an easy target.. it does bring on the pressure though, seeing a skulk rush at you at the SPEED OF LIGHT and you only have those crucial seconds of fire before you either pull out your knife in desperation or strafe jump like a crazy man while reloading, but if you can't get him with your pistol.. you need help.
It takes practice to bhop as well as practice to counter it, when i fist encountered bhopping skulks, i could not shoot one down if my life depended on it(which it did). As time went on i encourage them to bhop towards me MuHAha :>

It's not only effective in pubs. Far from it. I think it's probably *essential* for survival in clan games, because themariunes are just that damned good that if you don't bhop, you'll die 100% of the time.
actually if i was scrimming, i would much rather go against a bhopper then one who ambushes or pub jumps (which doesnt hapen much in scrims but still)
i said this last bhop complaining thread, bhoppers are easy to hit if you have played the game more than once. Its the same movement every time hell you can just fire in the center and the skulk will just jump into your bullets. You dont even need to aim.

is aiming only fair against those that know how to defend against it? Obviously no bhopping is a part of the game, and as with all aspects of the game you have to learn how to counter them or use them to your advantage
