Is there anyway to make the chat box smaller or move it up like 3 inches?

it is in a ridculous spot, it always runs over my cross hairs and affects my vision when I'm trying to see the enemy.

*changing the resolution doesn't move it....

You can't change it's position afaik, but you can shorten the duration in which a messages will be displayed.

Don't know what the command was... maybe cl_hudsaytext?
