<div class="IPBDescription">Different sets for each team?</div> Hey all, dont post much in here but here goes.
I was wondering if anyone else had different sets of sensitivity/controls for marines/aliens. I can use spacebar to bunnyhop but mwheel is obviously easier. My last question would be as a marine, do you use the mwheel for pistol pwnage or for tricking off of ramps and rails. <--- Reminds me of the Tony Hawk games <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Also have team-sensitve crap (Rines have MedReq, etc. Aliens have OCspam, etc)
I use ESDF for my movement keys, it frees up QWA as extra buttons. Q/W are flashlight/last weapon switch, and A is different for each team.
A for aliens is a message asking a gorge to be healed.
A for marines is reload.
R is use.
For both teams, my mouse2 is jump, so are mwheel down, and I have a bhop script for mwheelup which I never use.
For marines, I added a few more binds.
B is a text message saying enemy spotted, along with the proper impulse.
N is a text message saying need health, along with the proper impulse.
M is a text message saying need ammo, along with the proper impulse.
That's about the only difference I have. I really should put B/N/M on aliens as chambers, but I'm lazy =). Besides, mouse3 as a popup menu can work fine.
Ph34r m3. =p
(degrees/inch being number of degrees of rotation per inch of mouse movement)
THat is the only control i use.

Nope.
Frankly, I think that using different sensitivities is counterproductive. It's so much better to get used to one sensitivity and not have to change.
EDIT:
Forgot that I also have this:
Insert - OC
Home - RT
Page Up - Hive
Delete - DC
End - MC
Page Down - SC
one for skulks gorges fades and onos (one button oc/dc/sc/mc/hive building,,, heal spray, mc needed order, and some upgs like rege cara or silence)
and one for my lerki. changing the space (from duck to jump, with wsad it makes it really easy to control flapping and hovering)
no sens changes or anything
Which is about 180 degrees per inch.
I have a :
marine base config
marine script config (for meh pistol script)
alien config
base config.cfg
graphics config
tracer config
com config
7 total.
z,x,v,b,n for alien taunts/chuckles/need healing and marine taunt/follow me/im covering ya/request med and ammo
5 for roger that 6 for need orders
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 on the numpad are for building/gestating commands
mwheel for jump/bhopping although i seldom use it. spacebar seems to fit it better. trick jumping on rails/ramps are defintely easier with mwheel though i usually use spacebar
im really happy with this config cos it fits both aliens and marines very well
and with my new razer diamondback i can change sens anytime i want with the scroll of the mousewheel <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
dont use mousewheel to pistol. i tried it b4 and it somehow feels slower than i usually shoot
QWED + Space setup
unscripted bunnyhopping
mouse acceleration, custom yaw&pitch for mouse
and a custom cfg enviroment
Other than that I have a few custom bound stuff, but i just use different buttons depending on which side i play.
i use all original PLUS kpad .... + for med , - for ammo, / celerity evolve (i paly combat a lot), . for OC, and 0 for res tower.
everything else is script free and bind free. i think.
bind mwheeldown invnext

I had multiple CFGs, but then i couldn't open my console with blockscripts :/
It seems to affect us all in wierd ways, for instance, when i bound my cfgs to keys, and used my skulk one, it worked fine, then when i faded, and pressed the key to exec the fade.cfg it said "Scripting is not allowed" even though its the same except the name of the cfg... so no I dont use multiple cfgs now, instead adapted one to suit all classes.
If someone would pm me on how to use diff configs I'd love to know <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Yeh that's really it. Also I like trickbhopping as aliens but usually I'm going too fast and smash into walls all the time. I don't know how you pr0s do it except concentrate way harder than I'd like to get used to.
Anyway NS is hard so I'm breaking from actually touching it till b6 when I might be coaxed into once again playing like I'm interested. Besides there are only like 6 servers at any hour with enough people playing b5 in my Ping<100 filter to have a decent game, and usually they are modded out pieces of crap or marine stacked competipubs. hf gl bbl etc
