Dvd Extras... Things You Want!
<div class="IPBDescription">curiosity</div> just curious if you guys ever want more 'extras' on DVD's
personally i want what 1 dvd has had. that i have seen anyway. which it lists the tracks which are played at certain points the dvd that has it is Fast and Furious it helped me find a lot of the tracks which werent on the OST... very smart move.
Music videos - what can i say.. i like em. a good one is on the new punisher disk. with Drowning Pool - Step Up.
but the most important one is, Deleted/extended scenes.. i want a button which includes them in the movie! they are there on the DVD why not have an option 'play movie with extended/deleted material' i would like to see it anyway...

Its extra content spans from Post-Production back to Pre-Production, which features an ample collection of concept art making it a must for any NS mapper/modeller.

It's curious how the Matrix Reloaded Revisted and Revolutions Revisited are far more interesting and entertaining than the films.

I love deleted scenes, but I wouldn't want them within the film. Often the scenes aren't completed or won't fit with the rest of the film, so it's pointless. I've seen deleted scenes that have bad colour, bad picture, bad sound...I wouldn't want that in the middle of the film.

I liked the Commentary on the Red Versus Blue DVD's but I've never listened to
any others.... oh wait... except for Red Dwarf. They were funny.

Well it depends on what the scenes contained, and where they were originally meant to go. Some stuff may have been made without a specific place to go, they'd have to make a decision that they wouldn't want to make.
Alright if its good quality and fully planned etc, then it would fit in nice. But otherwise...

making of documenteries are fun.
currently I am slowely going through the LotR:EE box set (my brother rocks at xmass gifts) with my mum (I am slowely turning her into an sf/f fan).

I've stopped watching deleted scenes though, because with the exception of maybe 3 of them that I've seen I've always ended up glad they were deleted. I cannot stand director's commentary over the normal movie either.
Mr. Pegg always delivers the goods on his DVD extras, taking "Spaced" as a prime example. If you've never heard of Spaced, then I CORNMAND YOU to google it this second.
One movie that benefits completely from its deleted scenes: Aliens. From the seeing the colony pre-infestation, to the face hugger on Newt's Dad, to the Turrets....all good. Especially those turrets (which consists of a couple scenes).
Most of the times the deleted scenes were either part of the original longer story and never actually got to the filming process (sometimes confusing the plot - I'm looking at you Mr. Jackson!) and other times they're part of the Director's original vision and were cut because of length contraints.
Personally I'd rather watch an extra hour of film (even in the cinema) so that I get a full experience of how the Director want to tell the story. ~120minute films ftl.

Alien is the same way. There are some really powerful scenes that were skipped that I'm amazed were cut because they reveal a great big chunk of WTH happened on the Nostromo, especially the one where Ripley find's where the Alien is starting to make its nest thing..

Well tbh I'm only basing what I say on the DVD of "We Were Soldiers." One of the deleted scenes in there is awful, and it really wouldn't fit in.
