Image of the day on ballisticpublishing
You've seen his artwork throughout NS, and now you can see his work from other projects. I'm assuming this one is from his work at Stainless Steel (though I'm not exactly sure).
Way to go, Cory, it looks great!

P.S. Any hope for a bigger version posted here?
P.P.S. Cory did nearly all the textures in NS, including all the level textures, player skins, the console backgrounds, and of course, Teh Eye:

P.S. Not to sound stupid or anything..could you give an example of one of his NS works?
edit: didnt cory do all the ns textures? or most of them anyways?
Congrats Squeal!
if i had the ability to put on a parade with gorges pulling floats, i would.
squeal was/is indeed a vital part of the ns community.
And I find it surprising how Flayra used Teh. It just didn't seem so..Flayra-ish for some reason

You bet. Knowing his detail on the skin of the fade in the Eye picture, it wouldn't surprise me to hear the samurai's armour alone is equally impressive.
My GF has been bugging me to do some artwork we can hang up in the apartment, so I finally got off my **** and did that pic. I wanted something that was atmospheric, and felt narrative, but without a specific story to it. I'll post a larger version of it here for anyone who wants to see it. It's really high res, so even this larger version doesn't show off the detail in it very well, but better then the tiny version they have on the website.
I hope it gets chosen to be in the Expose book.
It must be quite a compliment when a loved one asks you to make the art to decorate a home, instead of going out and shopping
[edit]Wait a minute, I just realized the picture is more wide than it is tall. Dual-monitor-wallpaper setup time! Woo!
Woa, that's gonna look like crap blowing up a 1024 to fit over 2 monitors
(really off topic)
Do you play Isketch?
Desktop'd!
it's an excellent picture, and congrats on being winnar

Turns out you were right. Not so much because of the decrease in quality because of expansion -- I'm fine with that. But one monitor is older than the other, so the secondary runs at a different resolution...long story short, the split down the "middle" makes the horse, etc. a bit awkward

btw, cory, do you think it would be possible to help out with the nss texture remake project over here? it would be great if maybe you had some source files of the textures lying around, or maybe if you even wanted to help remake some of them.
