Everything you don't want is worth posting.
I may dig out one or two today, the only problem I have is I recycle old .rmf's in to newer existing maps.

I'm probably never going to use the sources of co_inertia (unseen) and ns_palisade_p1 (old forum thread around here somewhere) so here they are in a zip, I will also link them on my portfolio website some time over the next few days.

maybe ill get around to finishing that map, since noone else did...
It doesn't matter if it doesn't compile, maybe someone can fix it themselves if they want. The idea of unfinished maps and source files is from people to learn from techniques and others mistakes.

Like I said, i worked on it for a couple months then gave up. im not sure if it will even load. The idea was to take a SC custom map and make a full size NS map.
So ya.. if it works and you finish it.. just gimmie some credit. ;D

I had the idea myself long ago but was too lazy to do anything in this direction... hm... maybe some quick "sc editor like" map? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> will see what I can do about THAT. and btw the massive roller doors will be used, too.

The point of this topic is not to steal parts from peoples' maps and add them to your own, the point is that by looking at sources you may LEARN from others. I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to put up old sources here if I know that people will just grab them from the rmf without second thought and slap it in their map. "I'm a mapper!", indeed.
Besides, he said he lost the rmf. How is he supposed to 'find' it? And if he could, why should he? So some random person can add it to their map and claim it as their own?

Would be interesting if we could get alot of map source files together, and then played about with them to make an interesting community map which will quite possibly have no hardline theme, but will look good and hopefully play just as good. The author list could possibly reach 20+ though.
It's just given me a thought, NS could be in the guiness book of records for "most people to work on a single map project" <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Solace is not dead though, just sleeping. I'll take it back up in late summer, along with beginning work on the mapping for Citadel Utopia. In some ways all of this time away from Hammer (5 months) has seen me come up with some really good concept art for the architecture. I've completely designed the Gospel Generator (Hive location), the corridors that lead there, a cool new room near Gospel, some cool corridors for the Cargo Bridge (ICU point) and also added to the design of the Veritas Complex.
Unfortunately, no pics, not even scanned concept art. That's the flipside of the "boredom-leads-to-creativity" coin.

While I'm reluctant to post this as it's crap, well, some people might be interested anyway.
The map was completed, but never released, for two reasons. Firstly, the shell that I had access to (and where I was going to put the map for download) died, and has not returned. My guess is that it's been firewalled. Secondly, I'm very busy in my new job, and whether or not I would have the time to maintain it is very much up for debate.
Hope you like what I did, though...
and for the rest of the good mappers out there, CREATE BACKUPS FREQENTLY! i would have loved to play some of those maps.
