Newbie Needs Help?

Hey I'm new to the forums and I'm trying to play Natural Selection. Someone told me about natural selection and I wanted to try it out. I downloaded NS_Beta5 from the many of the listed sites. I have installed and re-installed but I keep getitng the message your cd.... differs. Can anyone help?

P.S. Don't know if its important but Natural Selection is not listed in my third party games event hough i have instaled it.

    First of all you needed to play half-life 1 single player at least once; so that steam creates the necessary files and folders to run third-party mods...

    check your C:\Program_Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\email@mail.com\half-life folder... there must be lots of files and folders in it including ns folder... if not; delete ns folder... play hl sp once... and install ns again...
