Installing Directory

Long time since I been here!
Have been a member here for years now but I had problems with my computer so Iam back now (1½years later) <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
My question seens it was a long time I installed ns is:
Do I need to install ns in this directory:
\Steam\SteamApps\my_mail@host.com\half-life
or can I just make a new ns directory and install it there:
\Steam\SteamApps\my_mail@host.com\natural selection
