Let me guess... an alien somehow changed his model to that of a marine, and then either got cloaking or was in range of an SC?

The skulk sees the name of the player in yellow, so I think it is in fact an alien. If it was a marine, it would show "Enemy - Sobchak.WnF" in red.

Its a bug, but you can only do it with cheats on, and only on lost, so its not worth the devs time.
You can reproduce the bug by doing this:
1. bind "n" "switch"
2. Start a server with map ns_lost.
3. Turn on sv_cheats 1
4. Go aliens, drop a sensory, get cloacking. Get away from sensory chamber and cloack with cloacking upgrade.
5. press n
6. Congratulations you now have a stealth suit. You can do any action and still remain 90% invisable. BUT if an enemy touches you, or hits you, you come back fully visable, and go no longer go invisable.
