I am having huge problems blinking, I was wondering what your guy's best way to do it was? Like aiming at the floor or wall or whatever. It never seems to work for me

I also can't seem to figure out how to build defense towers as Gorge could someone tell me how that is done?

Thanks guys. . .

Well I dont know about the blinkin part...

but to build defense towers, You will have to own one hive.. itsl ike... one hive per one chamber, theres movement chamber, sensor chamber and defense chamber. (dont remember the actual names, something like that)

Now if you have 1 hive, and you build movement chamber, you can no longer build defense chamber unless you build second hive. Did my explanation confuss u even more? ;P

    heres a bit on blinking:

    Basic Fundementals:

you CANNOT blink through areas where the fade cannot fit
    ________
    O ``|```|
    | -------->|
    /\__|____|

    that is not possible.

Crouching HELPS A LOT when trying to blink, because as I stated earlier, your model is smaller and can go farther usualy, because blinking standing up usualy results in your head or foot hitting the ceiling or wall, thus stopping you.

I was guna put some more but I forgot what I was going to say... I'll edit this when I remember it...

I've found that aiming up a little normally helps to make it work... But I could be wrong.
Like Khaim said aswell, ducking helps a lot!

Blinking basically 'shoots' you in the direction you are aiming, and stops you when ANY part of your body hits ANYTHING. Therefore, in order to blink reliably, you have to be in a fairly wide open area (hallways CAN work, but its difficult).

Note that you **cannot** blink through walls like the manual says you can.

    1) get blink as your active attack

    2) aim where you want to go (remember you stop at the very first thing you hit)

    3) jump

    4) duck

    5) activate blink

Jump-ducking gets you away from the floor (often times blink fails because you immediately hit something on the ground), and makes your body smaller so you wont hit as many things.

Shooting the roof with blink works a lot. Aim up! It is fun to blink over a marines head and stab him in the back! Blinking the roof lets you drop in behind enemy lines too! Also, you can use blinking to stop falling dammage. Shoot it straight down and hopefully (if you have enough room) you will teleport to the bottom and take no falling dammage. Works best on those long lifts in that one where the marine base has two ladders and an elevator to the left of the comm console.

Ahh so defense towers are actually defense chambers, I get it. I though defense chambers were only for allowing the upgrades sucks about the hive limit still though.

Also the blinking problems I was having were probably due to hitting the ground cause I guess I was aiming a little low or something.

    Thanks a lot guys!

Ok, still having problems blinking, do you have to hold the lmb down? Because that sometimes seems to make it work better. Also I was wondering the proper way to use Charge with the Onos, click it once and then it goes until the power is gone or click it a bunch of times I am not sure.

    Thnaks alot!

You can blink through somethings like a hive look up jump blink and you'll be ontop of the hive.

hoju2, be careful not to confuse offensive chambers and defensive chambers. The offensive ones spit green stuff, and the defensive ones heals you and gives you upgrades.

Also, if it helps, remember that aliens only ever build chambers or hives. For instance: Aliens collect resources with resource chambers. Remembering that helps me keep track of who is talking about what and on which team!

With Onos' charge, click it once, then run into stuff until the bar goes out. Bumping into things does dammage (10 dammage per "bump") so keep plowing on the same person or thing if you want to do lots of dammage. Running around randomly won't do squat.

Yeah I think I got it, in a recent game I was able to succesfully Blink while fully cloaked behind the Marines alot. Nothing better then being cloaked in a room where the marines think there's no possible way for me to be there

If anyone played the aliens (forget name) WH40K then they'll probably remember the Lictor a big alien with praying mantis like claws that could cloak jsut like the Fade.

Yeah, pulling off the blink in a hectic situation is tough. I only wish that failed blink attemps wouldn't take your stamina away still.

Yes the fade does remind me of the Lictor in WH40K, although the Lictor sucks now; too costly.
