<div class="IPBDescription">It happened...</div> Late last night/early this morning, I don't remember the server. But, the title said it was a 1.01b test server. Map ns_nothing.
The game was going well, though the marines had taken The Great Viaduct hive. As aliens, we were able to take out thier setup. I was a gorge, lvl 2 Carapace or regen (dont remember exactly), and lvl 3 cloak. I went into the hive "mini-room" and sat all the way in the back as far as I could go, facing out. I was close to having enough resources for a new hive. So sitting still, I cloaked. I could hear the marines show up, and kill off everyone else, so they set up defense again. I started a hive before they came down below.
They came over and shot at if, but it didnt take damage. The walked off figuring it was because it wasnt complete yet. But they set up a bunch of turrets and such, then turned on the now complete hive. I still hadnt moved, as I would have been killed instantly by both the marines and turrets, and they still didnt know I was there.
They sat and shot at the hive for the longest time, and it took no damage. There was a break, and there must have been a scanner sweep or something because I was then promptly killed. Soon as that happened, the hive started taking damage.
Just an odd bug I found. Aliens could use it as a strat, I suppose. But if you're a marine on that map and a hive wont take damage...there an alien there.
