<div class="IPBDescription">omg!</div> I think it would be cool to have HL2's SMG for the marines. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

and its way to short... looks retarded..the grip can barely hold a magazine <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
poopy mp7
but hey,think gorden cares if it's too short?!he just needs to fit all that in his HEV suit <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> think a RPG is short...he's gotta have some way to hold all those weapons <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->
(thinks how gorden would love a fold up attache breifcase that's really a machine gun of crack times 10.Like G-man has)
anyway, the HL2 models should not be considered be converted, since they kinda suck
you can get way better mp7's on various CS sites
i got a great one right here, which i consider to be the best one around, modeled by Fiblah and skinned by the infamous Galen

(ok, minus ths silencer and little smoothing errors)
<a href='http://gunshop.clandeadgoat.net/show_model.php?id=154' target='_blank'>link</a>
ok just use the link under the pic <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
also,think about the caliber of stuff.look at the m16,and notice it has a 40MM under barrel launcher.20mm is considered light artillery caliber based.Also,the OICW is "considered" light artillary due to the 20mm "cannon" mounted on top.
<a href='http://www.hkpro.com/oicw.htm' target='_blank'>link to all the official OICW data</a>
It would?
I know nothing of such legalities, but I would think backwards-porting a model from a company's engine to an older engine of theirs would be ok... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I think it would be illegal if:
1) You were trying to pass it off as your own work.
2) Trying to make money off it without the developer's approval (probably written), or
3) Sharing it without the consent of the original author.
its in the TMP section because its a tmp replacement for counter strike <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
im pretty sure its illegal because of the intelectual property and whatnot its the same reason you cant bring the doom3 models into NS
The way I see it, if you can use HL1 stuff (models, textures, sprites) in HL1 mods, and you can use HL2 stuff in HL2 mods, why couldn't you use HL2 stuff in HL1 mods, or vise versa.
...maybe I'll email valve about this... >_>

this one is like the hl2 one but more like the real pic that u have above the hl2 one
9mm?! The PDW fires 4.6x30, and since both barrels look the same size, i think it would be alright to assume that any grenades would need to be a similar size as well.
The grip is way too small to fit a magazine, too (4.6x30 is long ammo, after all) <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Now, back to the request. I'm gonna say I dont want to have it personally, I didn't like the idea of an SMG, I'm a rifle guy, plain and simple.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->With a conventional 20 round magazine in the pistol grip or an optional 40 round magazine that extends below the gun, one of the most amazing aspects of the gun is its size, or lack thereof. As well,it depends on how your trained to fire a weapon,and how the weapon fires.A revolver puts another bullet in the chamber by rotateing the ammo drum.An automatic weapon reloads by means of recoil.You can twist your elbow to absorb recoil from non-automatic weapons.If you try to do this with a automatic weapon,you'll interupt the reloading cycle and probably jam the weapon.I know this from fireing my .357 hunting magnum.At first I didn't try to absorb the recoil,untill my friend noted I hadn't try to do so,and pointed it out.I learned about the automatic jamming issues through them happening to me.
So in general,a grenade launcher like the ORIGINAL NS one that has a ammo drum then you can let loose and absorb the recoil.Same way for most modern grenade launchers.Alot of the ones that don't breech load/ammo drum reload/have a non-automatic way of loading normally have a fireing stand.<a href='http://www.hkpro.com/gmg.htm' target='_blank'>As demostrated here.</a>
Another note on the grenade launcher issue,I don't recall the MP5 haveing a grenade launcher and yet in HL1 it did.I might be wrong though,but I don't particually remember it haveing one...
