as in how to ^^
I heard there was a way to convert CS models to NS ones. I want to use a US Navy Seal CS model for my marine NS model, but the formats are different, how can I convert vtf (or whatever the CS format is) to mdl (NS)?

First off, you post in the right forum. Second, read stickys.

Its mdl to begin with, i could be wrong, but i do belive you have to replace the cs skeleton with the ns skeleton, giving it the animations, sorry if im wrong.

The hitboxes too I believe. And the anims you have to be renamed to fit NS. This is all from using HLMV so if I'm wrong I'm sorry.

    EDIT
    1) VTF is Source
    2) VTF is the skin texture. not the model.

You decompile the .mdl file, change the $sequences around to match that of the ORDER of the animations (not the names), and possably change some minor things, such as $origin. Thats just a basic convert. To make it look right, its best to go into milkshape, import the default NS skeleton, and assign the bones to the vertexes, then save the ref and compile with default ns animations.

And try saying CS:S instead of cs, their 2 completely diffrent engines.

Isn't most of the problem due to weights associated to the models?

unless it's just for personal use and you actually own HL2, then i believe it's perfectly legal
