anyway over xmas i picked this up and good lord.. i have been hooked on RTS... i mean i got hooked on dawn of war for a month or so before hand, but im hooked on this, i dont know what it is... whether it is like the gameplay or the gfx or the fact it is just lotr.

but yeah, it reeks of awesomeness.

playing 4 player or 6 player helms deep is just overcool.

    Yeah, well, if it can beat Dawn of War and Rome: Total War when the chips are down, I'll be impressed. Other than that it seems pretty average, since they certainly had to tone down the complexity so people who like LotR but have never played RTS games would be able to have fun.

    So...what's the deal here?

    You get heroes like Aragorn and they level up ala Warcraft III? Sounds pretty cool to me.

    I remember seeing the demo videos that were posted here a long time ago, looked very good.

    because i play only 6 player and 8 player maps usually i left detail on medium so as to not make it **** my connection out when i host...

    it looks 10x better on high.

    I played this and didn't like it tbh, they made it out to be like the "total war" games but with LotR characters and locations.

    Instead all we have is a copy of that crappy LotRs RTS we got in winter 2003 "War of the Ring" except this one has the movie license.

    It ain't a patch on Rome Total War that game is just awsome!

    Ahh yes, Rome Total War owns hardcore. I had to play it at a friends, but it was well worth it.
