How Would You Like Hl3?

ok so HL2 was a breaking game with fun and stuff and new engine and upcoming mods.

Nearly like HL1.

But what about HL3? If it comes do you want it to be just like opposing force and Blueshift? new levels new puzzels new story in the same story.

Or a breaking thing like HL2?

I definitely believe that Valve are the pioneers of gaming technology and interaction in terms of gameplay and overall effect. I haven't played through all of HL2, but it would probably be a new story that follows on in some respects, and explains a lot of things [hey, series of three are the way to go!].

I also believe that, apart from all the random community-generated mods, there will be some official SP expansion packs that will follow the storyline on a tangent. I want to do one myself, anyway.

I'm not exactly holding my breath for Halflife 3, however. The development process is too long for the fans themselves to 'eagerly await'. There are more pressing things in life.. like Halflife 2, which we have here, and now!

    Another 5 years from now?

Well I wonder what you have to pioneer in computer games 5 in 5 years time.

    huh?

anyways i dont think this is a spolier since this is just my wish...

i would love to see Sheppard come back in HL3 or at least a HL2 expansion. a good place to fit Sheppard is to being a part in the resistence or getting started with the Vortigaunts briefing him about the situation. the vortigaunts are allies now so they should be able to help Sheppard escape right?

from what i've heard, the ending of HL2s story sucks(i'm on chapt. 13)

So i would like to see a slightly more conclusive ending

Other than that, just more of the saem, with graphical/technical improvements

[EDIT:]And a decent multiplayer on release day

I honestly wouldn't mind if they just released HL3 on the same engine, i.e, like an expansion pack, I can't see how valve can improve much on perfection without graphics indistinguishable from real-life, or virtual reality helmets

one thing i would like, is when you pick up something with your hands, it shows your hands holding the thing. also i would like bodies to collide with all objects.

That would take a massive amount of time for it to work properly though.

Aye, that bugged me. I realized it would probably be too complex (yet) to get it all right, but just having a floating bottle infront of me looked kinda weird

I imagine there will be a slew of expanisions that well help flesh out the story more. I wouldn't be suprised if Sheppard comes back, and possibly another Barney episode (please be better than Blue Shift, PLEASE?!)

In all honesty, rather than waiting 6 more years for something just as revolutionary as HL1->HL2 is, I'd rather see something not so much new but just more of what we had in HL2.

Same tech, just more levels + more storyline. That would get my fix in, then they could take 5 years or whatever for HL4 :P

I want $5 expansion packs released every 6 months, with at least one of the first from Alyx' perspective.

I agree, I want to see the game from Alyx's point of view also.

I'd like to be Dr Klieners (i think it was him) little alien friend too....for kicks and giggles
