So What Now That Hl2 Is Gone And Done?

<div class="IPBDescription">let us presume the future</div> I assume most people here have played hl2 and have most likely finished it by now. Seeing how stalker is around the corner and several other notable games like the new unreal engine, which btw is astounding, what do you see in the future? You think we can supass all the marvels of lighting dynamics and perhaps see other things like wave dynamics for example and among other things too?

hl2 is nowhere near done and gone.

remember the legacy HL1 created? that will be nothing compared to HL2.

    just wait for the mods.

Flay has states that NS will always stay free. However the games that Unknown Worlds are currently working on (which happen to be in the NS universe) will be retail.

Then this forum is like a minefield for you with all the spoilers and all o.O

There are some nice mods in the making but we'll have to wait for them to finish :/

Insurgency and Entropy mods looks promising, though the latter may be just a bit too ambitious. HL2 was a great single player experience, but it's not the end of the world as some had hoped it to be.

If NS:S ever gets made, it will be the only MP game I play for a long, long time. And the more advanced engine would open up all kinds of new possibilities for the devs.

there will be alot of interesting mods to come out on HL2. and the tech behind the engine will introduce alot of neat things for mod makers to do.

I am really impressed by how their physics engine can be implemented without introducing massive amounts of performance lag.
