i have wwe:here comes the pain and wwe : smackdown vs raw (was released 4 days ago.)

i also have 4 pads. and a mem card. and the console itself, along with a multitap

all in all i can get half life gold at least.. and prolly dawn of war aswell..

my Q is.. to those that have it.. is it worth it? dont answer if you dont have it.

i been playing half life and its **** since day one of its release. and all its mods including cs,dod and regular hldm...

so my Q is.. if hl can keep me enthralled for 7 odd years... can hl2 do the same. as i dont want to flog my ps2 for nothing.

    I wouldn't do it..
    HL2 costs ~50$, a PS2 with all you stated you have, is way, WAY more worthy than that. It's even 2.5 or 3 times worth than the gold pack(99$). (which contains stuff you probably wouldnt need).

    You could only sell one or two of your PS2 games and get HL2,
    This deal is so not worth it, that if you're serious, i'd buy the gold version just to trade in with you.

    i am serious.. i used to be a big pc gamer.. but i turned to the pc for one type of game...

    I can't see why all you like on the PS2 is wrestling games =P what about GTA for example? anyway I personally <3 my PS2 and would never trade it in for any one game.

    Yes.

    Name the best FPS you've ever played.

    Halo/Halo2? This has more intense action, more satisfying weapons, and much cooler grenades.

    Call of Duty? This has better AI, a more war-like feel(at times- other times its meant to be a few men's encounter), and better scripting.

    Deus Ex? While the story may not be as good, it damn well keeps itself up there.

    DOOM 3? This has arguably better graphics, and WAY better gameplay.

    Battlefield 1942? The vehicles here are more responsive, and act more like they would in real life.

    If there is any game I have not named here(besides HL1 or any expansions), then name it. I'll tell you how its better.

    Though San Andreas is a great game, it is NOTHING compared to HL2.

    just to finish off this thread, i went and brought it today with my ps2 cash etc.. and the sims 2 and dawn of war...

    sims 2 is for the missus.. wouldnt catch me playin that fairies game.. lol

    damn the gravity gun is funn.

    you should have sold your games and kept your ps2, bought gta:SA played that, had multiple orgasms at the game and it's pwness, kept your ps2 and got hl2

    1, gta isnt the right kind of game for me... ill be honest.. i dont find the idea of playing as some little black cretin who cant stop saying nigga appealing... *yes it may appear racist but also true*

    2, ps2 gaming isnt as cool as pc.

    3, i know i got it from gs... but i wanted to get rid of ps2 really...
