Crash When Connected To Server

Hi, i'm playing the mod for 2 days now and this morning i formated my pc, and reinstalled everthing

but now iv'e got a weird problem:

when i connect to a server, i'm at the console, i wait a few secs and then i see "initializing and downloading" and then when the console is about to go up, my pc crashes and reboots :/

wtf is this? i never had this before

i reinstalled it, and still the same prob

i tried other mods, no probs

I have the latest VIA drivers and the greatest Nvidia drivers on a WXP system

    did you by any chance just copy your NS folder rather than running the installer? there are a few extra files that NS puts in your \half-life folder too that it needs, so always reinstall from the installer.

    I would bet a $100 that this is the same problem as I found long ago.

    Chances are, you need to install the latest version of DirectX. <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/directx' target='_blank'>http://www.microsoft.com/directx</a>
