<div class="IPBDescription">First series for ns, yay!</div>Well, I've posted the first chapter in Series one of two of my Natural Selection Fan Fiction Series. The first Series will consist of the adventures of a TSA Marine, who has recently enlisted. The second Series (Which may end up intermingling with the first Series instead of comming after it) will consist of the adventures of a "Bob" as he grows and learns. I hope you enjoy them and please heed what I wrote at the top of the post..I don't want any extra posts in there so that anyone who is new to the series can start reading immediately without sifting through anymore posts than nessicary. Thank you. If you wish to leave comments, leave them here or PM them to me.

    All good <b>writers</b> died poor, unsuccesful, depressed, addicted to at least one drug, and in the most cases as ugly as sin itself.

    Yet, there are still people writing.

    Jed, I like what you got going there....but I'll really have to see alot more chapters of this before I decided whether I like the story or not.

    yeah, sorry the first chapter was so short..I wrote it five minutes before I went to sleep..I'm writing chapter two when I get home today..in about 2 and a half hours..

    *sobs* My Character has come to life and registered on these boards! He's gotta be ###### that I gave him such a small (though still cool) part in my story, and I know he's got a gun! Save me from Sgt. Bilko!

    nah, I've never seen his name before...I just saw it today when he posted in the FAO, I saw the name "Sgt Bilko" and I'm like "WTF?". It scared the crap outta me. I wasn't sure whether the character had come to life to torment me, or if someone liked it so much that they created the username...wait a minute! HE"S A TIME TRAVELER!

    ...are you ABSOLUTELY SURE that you haven't seen him once, but just forgot about him? I've seen Sgt. Bilko thousands of times, and I didn't come to these forums long before you.

    Nah, I sat there for a few minutes trying to decide what to name the recruiter and the main character...I tried names until I decided bilko, tried Captain, Then Lt. Then finally decided on Sergeant..It's just..freaky. I don't believe I've ever read one of his posts.


    He's a time traveler, I tell you. He didn't post where I'd see it, He made that username before I showed up, and he only started posting after I published my story. Quick, Lets capture him and find out the secret to time travel!

    Chapter 2 is up..It's not too grand, in my opinion, but I MIGHT (depending on my mood and how interested everyone is) post Chapter 3 tonite.

    One thing you need to realize is that a lot of people don't have a whole bunch of time to read these stories, myself included.  I usually hold off on reading until weekends, or whenever I'm not busy.  I know that I still haven't read some of the stories in there that were posted before yours.  Don't get discouraged if you don't recieve feedback real quick.  The only reason you should be writing this is if you enjoy writing it.  It shouldn't matter what people think.

    And on a more general note, if you take the time to actually think things through, plan out the story, and look over what you've written, it'll seem much more polished and proffesional.  I can't tell you how much it bugs me to find incorrect spelling/grammar in stories. (It bugs me even more to find them in my own stories.)

    I spell check all of my stories first. I prefer to improvise them. It gives them a more "As if it's happening right now" feel. That and I just write better that way.

    Sorry, guys, I spent the entire night gearing up for the Flaytona, since I didn't realize until today that it was tomarrow, and it's a good thing I TRIED to practic, half my maps weren't working..but now they all SEEM to be working..anyway, I'm sorry that I didn't get this chapter done...and I probally won't be able to tomarrow or monday...but I can try tuesday night. Again, I'd like to say that I'm sorry to those of you who were looking forward to the next chapter.
