    In one of the betas there used to be a hard limit of 3 IPs working at the same time.

    Nope, this isn't correct. There's never been an IP limit in any version.

    Really? I could swear that one of the earlier 3.0 betas had a limit. (I am guessing that you would know if I was wrong though. =3)

    Not a good example. In most games, you'll never have marines dying at the exact same time. This is the exception that proves the rule that under the majority of circumstances more than 3 IPs isn't fruitful.

    There is a limit for IPS?
    In 1.0 you got flamed early game for dropping only 1 ip and not up to 3,
    now you get flamed for dropping 3 and not staying at 1.

    Well, technically speaking, the limit of how many IPs you can have is the number of IPs you can fit in the build radius of the command chair. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    So put a CC in the middle of a large hive, and drop ~30 +/- IPs around it.

    XD Hhaahahha how was that pwned? I was talking to Ollj, he said something about an IP limit. Well the limit of IPs anyone can build is however many in a circle around the CC, but I guess you can drop multiple CCs and play IP-whack-a-mole with the marines.

    The CC radius is pretty big right? You could probably build at least one for each marine within the radius, and that'd be the most anybody would ever want. It'd be a free beacon every 10 seconds.

    This demo proves that when 5 marines die and when you have 5 ips, those 5 marines will spawn on all those IPs.
