    Mr. Breathed hails from my home of Iowa . In fact, we used to have a large bronze statue of Opus in the Iowa City library. I don't know what happened to it, actually . . . I certainaly do miss it, though, it was super cool.

    BLOOM COUNTY IS NOT FORGOTTEN SIR!

    I love bloom county, and the author berkle breath [a member of the hallowed winer of the pulitzer [I think it was the pulizter, it was one of those big awards] the only other cartoonist do do such was Gary Larson / far side] has recently started "opus" which fetures the penguin from bloom county in his own strip. Bill D Cat is the best evar, and I love the random characters


    I was shocked when I saw this topic, I've read every single bloom county book that is been out, several times.

    Man I remember how upset I was when he ended Bloom country. I was pretty upset, it was my favorite comic strip.
