<div class="IPBDescription">Turrets</div> Why even try to be an alien? Turrets are virtually indestructable unless I can hide behind something and chew it.

Marines have a habit of spamming them every godam where making it virtually impossible to get across the map, even bile bomb and things dont seem to damage anything.

Dont even get me started on trying to charge turrets as an Onos, its like an elephant charging at a 70skycraper.

    I don't think charge works against buildings.....

    But about the turrents, marines will have one heck of a time getting more then 3 up in one spot with the new server patch coming out soon.

    Remember, it costs 16 RPs per turrent and 25 to build the turrent factory.
    So thats about 60 RPs for 3 turrents and a factory. While it only costs about 6 RPs for a skilled skulk, which can take out a group of 3 turrents.

    With the new patch, marines will get RPs much slower then they are now, also I think they will have a cap on RPs. The only time you'll see more then 3 turrents in one place is in the marine main base.

    EDIT: I also heard that if you stand on a lone turrent, you can't get hurt by it.

    I managed to kill 2 turrets with a skulk (respawned 3 times tho), it was a laggy server so i just ran in, jumped around while biting, running around in circles.. just aimed at the <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> roughly, but you get their eventually! It doesn't work in long halls tho.. you die a horrible death b4 you even get close.

    Don't add in the 25 for the marine turrets unless you're gonna add in the 13 every time an alien has to turn into a gorge to build.

    Turrets aren't invincible, but they are annoying as hell. Marines don't have a hard time putting up 4 turrets towards the start. They have even less trouble putting up another 4 towards the middle. And, I'll run as a skulk to try to kill them, and the only way I can really do that, is with four or five defense chambers around the corner, and I can only be fighting like 3 turrets or I'll basically die, and I jump around and evade fire pretty damn well from what I have seen compared to most people. Hopefully Unknown is right and they will have a hard time.

    as a skulk it's possible to take out 2 turrets without losing much or any health, a better way is just to go fade, i've managed to take out about 6 turrets at once

    cuz it seems that like.. ill just sit there gnawing on a turret for the longesst time and just get wasted.

    Personally as a Fade with carapace level 3 and Adrenaline (u can just keep hittin without losing energy) I can take out 3 out of 4 turrets before getting killed IF I charge straight into them, if you stay back for awhile shooting with acid or bile bombs ya can take out all of em without takin that much damage. All depends if some marines come up behind you.
