Well this would be a time for a rebel leader to rise to a head political office. However, it would also mean a war and I would presume a small dictatorship.

Most of the comments from the world's leaders have been ones of condolences. I'm glad a representative from my country will be going to the funeral.
On the other hand, the Israeli's reaction more along the llines of good riddance to bad rubbish. Perhaps they are right. But regardless of the past history between the two sides, now is not the time to grind that axe.

The world is in enough **** as it is. Perhaps peace can actually be achived now... or at least the situation improved... but I'm really skeptical of it. The conflict between these two peoples has been going on for a long, long time.
