Needs A New Vehicle

<div class="IPBDescription">in other words car trouble</div> well, im having problems with my truck, i have a 1985 Toyota SR5 4x4 pickup truck. It USED to have a great 22re engine in it. Keyword is used to <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> , i was crossing a stream to go camping and it was more than a stream and water locked the engine and blew a whole in its side. Luckily i got a 1978 toyota 22r engine for 80 bucks, put it in about a year ago. now i only get 14 miles to the gallon and am spending 150 bucks a month on gas. (went from fuel infection to carberated, and i probably messed some stuff up putting the engine in with my lack of car know how.)

So does anyone idea what is a good car for cheap to buy that gets like 20-30 mpg, maybe i could get a new car, they sell some for like 9k now, crappy, but new. Id like to keep something like a small 4x4 truck or a izuzu rodeo, just dont know anything about them or their gas milage. any ideas on what i should do/get? or have any idea how to improve on my truck such as gettin a tune up?

    Saturn. Undentable, great mpg, very reliable, etc. Can do above 95, said to max out at 107 due to an onboard regulator chip, but that can always be removed.

    Get a corsa, if you have them over there. Mde by Vauxhall over here so opel over there probably. Great little cars and super cheap to run. Not a 4x4 though

    Uhh America is great... they'll never let a car that uses 20-30 liter on the street EVAR here in germany. Uhh maybe they would... but no one can afford a car like that here... we got 1 liter of petrol for 1,20€ now.
