Just to let you guys know: After the first stress test, Fileplanet didn't want to be involved with Stress Test #2/OB. They actually asked Blizzard "What will you do for us?" because last time, they had to suddenly spend $500,000 dollars on getting totally new equipment, thanks to about 15 fried servers. No kidding.
This time, Blizzard not only gave Fileplanet/gamespy/ign special exclusives as payment, they also gave an okay to let everyone in their subscriber service sign up early.
So yes kids, blame Blizzard for this one, not fileplanet. While FPs making a good pretty penny from it, the amount of work it causes is no where near worth it, and FP knows it.

That said, I'm calling in favors: anyone who *did* get a key and may not use it, I would be indebted forever if you'd give it to me. At least two would be nice, since my girlfriend also wants in.

Here is a copy of the Blizzard Downloader EXE that will let you download the client from Blizzard's Bittorrent service. It's not fast, but it'll work. Alternately, Fileplanet is hosting the file.
-edit- the download is apparently expired. Therefore, I'm replacing that with a 3rd-party torrent of the file. You will need Bittorrent to access this. I have no idea if there are still seeders on this file; it was put up when the (second) stress test went live.
