    I heard if you put a bit of black cloth over the CPU and reboot, it thinks it's twice as fast as it really is, because it can't see the sticker saying what version it is.

    Heh I can't believe they thought this was possible. If it was, I'd just go up to my computer and kindly explain to it that it has quad AMD64's, X800XTPE, 4 250GB hard drives, and the ability to fly to foreign countries and assassinate idiots by beating a clue through their terminally thick skulls.     Isn't it possible to add -dx9 to use dx9 options in source though? I did that in the beta (and gained some FPS, but no graphical quality. wth?).
