Ha.ze- I can't say about San Andreas beacause I have yet to play it. However, the police did attack people who attacked you in Vice City, I don't see why they wouldn't in this one.

I am also awaiting a PC release (unfortunatly, that's only in May 2005).

Yes, wrong side of the tracks.

I'm on the pot burning mission ("You goin to San Fierro?"), and I almost finished it...but when I rocket launched the copter(no cheats!), it killed me from 50 FEET AWAY. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....(that was my 3rd time doing it. First time whats his face ran into the fire too many times. Second time I did. 3rd time the damned chopper killed me).

But seriously, this game ROCKS. Much <3

BTW: Who wants what songs stuck in this? One song per person.
I say "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio. I heard it on Sirius Radio(thank god for Satellite TV), and love the backbeat to it- it'd fit perfectly.

I'd have loved it if <i>Bring Tha Noize</i> by Public Enemy was in, but I suppose Chuck D presenting a radio station is a worthy compromise.

The tags are placed intelligently. Otherwise I don't know what you're talking about, you phrased that wierd <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

But things go like this: Sprays are out on buildings. Pearls are in/underwater. I've never seen a Horseshoe. Unique Jumps are DEFINATELY more "Unique" now.

Scattered all round the world are rival gangs' sprays. If you pick up a spraycan and graphitti over it with your 'Grove Street 4 Life' tag then that's 1 out of 100 done, basically.

    Unique jumps are self-explanatory.

Pearls, I believe, reside in the rivers and seas of San Andreas, so swimming deep below is required for them.

Not so sure about horseshoes, although I do know they increase your luck which is to your advantage when gambling in Las Venturas.

My friend had it and it was damn cool... It wasnt that hard to get into the first Air Port. I ended up steealing a crappy old plane and was chased down by some military planes which had really bad aim.

I found a Horse Shoe atop a building, more specifically the Glass Pyramid.

There's horseshoes in Las Venturas, photo opportunities (take pictures of specific places) in San Fierro, and gang tags in Los Santos. Each city has its own package equivalent, and the jumps and pearls are spread through the entire world including the countryside.

New vehicle missions too. Burglary and Pimpin'. The latter is hilarious.

I do have to say that I think it would have been a lot better on the Box. Less motion blur, better joysticks, etc. A PC version would obviously own all, though.

BTW, for when this does come out on PC: did these specs be able to run previous GTAs? And at what settings/fps?

    P4 2.0ghz
    1280mb DDRAM
    256mb GeForceFX 5600XT(XT? WTH?)
    Audigy 2

    ...?

    256mb GeForceFX 5600XT(XT? WTH?)
    Audigy 2

I can run Vice City at top everything with no slowdown ever on worse specs than that, I'd say San Andreas would be fine.

I ran VC on less than half that power without a single hitch. So you should be alright.

Wow, looks like Peter Molyneaux delivers just about everything he promised.

I think I'm very close to getting out of the first city (Los Santos?). Very cool mission, "Reuniting the Famlies." Gunfights are too much fun, especially when you have hitman level skills on the AK-47 and pistols. Oh the pistols.

I thought the motion blur was on purpose, for the illusion of great speed... but yeah, the ps2 IS showing its age... we're so due for the companies to come out with a new batch of next-gen systems...

Motion blur was a problem with the previous two installments of GTA, but not in this one. The motion blur in GTA:SA is intentional, and only happens when you're traveling at extreamly high speeds, and its actually a <i>good</i> looking motion blur, ala ... Need for Speed: Underground? Gah, forget the name, it was the racer rockstar made, you could trick out your car and stuff, it was all street racing..

But yeah, thats the kind of motion blur it is. <b>Awsome</b> motion blur, I go fast just so I see it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Especially when you kick the Nitrous on.. holy crap all of a sudden everything blurs and your flying... <b>flying</b>...

I think Rockstar did Midnight Club, not NFS: Underground.

The effect IS very similar... and it is such rampant fun taking a 10x nitro car with dollar sign hubcaps up the highway, tagging a cop, then hitting the burst. FLY BABY!

Hell <b>YEAH!</b> If its possible, trick out the biggest car/heaviest you can find with 10x nitro. Then block the main highway with another car, causing a pileup. Kick it into 10x nitro with the big car, and smash through them all. =D

    Dual-wielding on pistols....*drool*

Theres nothing better than rolling out from behind a car with dualies and totally owning the rival gang.
