Fade might win against three 3/3 LMGers. Once hive2 comes out, it means the fade usually has celerity and carapace, meaning you really start needing shotguns.
It should depend on what you mean by "win." 3/3 lmgs shouldn't have a hugely difficult time scaring off a lone fade without dying. Especially if they have an observant commander. I would still doubt the abilities of a fade that got killed without the help of a shotgun, but running away is entirely understandable. And every time a fade runs away the marines can advance their position.
So if what you mean by "win" is "kill the other guy," it's way too hard to answer without involving the rest of the respective teams. 2 lmgs with no comm would eventually run out of health -- or ammo and subsequently health. A fade fighting 2 lmgs with a comm would probably be forced back to the hive and sieged out if he was alone. If the fade gets decent teamwork, he should be able to win though.
I'm playing a small game (4v4) and right now, we're really tight on res. Two of my marines head out to Acid Chem on Tanith, and they meet a fade. I figure they're going to die, so I just let them...die. Then one of the guys ******* at me because I didn't drop meds. I told him no way you would kill that fade, and he replies (2 level 3 lmgs kills a fade).
I said no, because the fade's smart, and you two died anyways, and then he told me I had no knowledge of NS whatsoever.
2 level 3 lmgs can kill a fade and pretty quickly, it but it all depends on the skill of each player so you can really say yes one side will win either way.
If your marines disagree with you, take it up with them. Going onto a forum to ask a question in order to go back to them and say "ftw noobs the NS.org forum says otherwise, you all suck" is pretty....... poor.
Skill will beat lack of skill. 3/3 marines can still buy it to a fade if they're dumb enough to shoot off their clips while its blinking about waiting for them to reload. I've seen walker fades buy it to a 1/1 marine. Its not a matter of upgrades but of skill.
Assuming AVERAGE skill, I'd say advantage to the fade. It can blink about happily and stall the marines while waiting for reinforcements. In a 4v4 game I'd wager alien reinforcements would arrive faster than marine ones. Attrition wins.
TBH there's not much in it for anyone to give a definitive yes or no. If its a tight corridor and the fade runs smack into two rines then its going to get diced. Likewise if it sneaks up on the marines, they'll get diced. At the upgrades you're talking about, its mostly going to rely on skill, in which case its the comms job to know how good his team is. Its a skills call, if you don't think your boys had the skill then thats their problem. Next time tell them they can't aim for crap
It's hard to say. 3/3 LMGers CAN take a fade, but depending on the fades skill, they might not. Generally however, the fade should win that battle. You'ld have to gauge the skill of the fade. If you can tell he's not a very good fade, med away, otherwise, don't waste your resources. What I would do is med them anyway, because they should be able to keep the fade busy for a while, and you never know if they might kill it.
But in *almost* all cases it's best to keep your rines alive.
To answer your question, if the fade doesn't pick one off alone, doesn't have carapace, or doesn't know how to blink or hit and run, the fade will lose providing the rines are good shots.
Most of the time, one blink in and out of the room will be more than enough to suffice to kill them both though.
Could we end these "Who would win?" threads already? There has already been one on 1on1, between a marine and a fade. None of them are worth anything, EVER. So what if a HMG marine CAN kill a fade? If you don't already know that, I suggest you take a look at some of the damage charts that can be found on several NS related websites. Who can tell when a fade and a marine are "equally skilled"? Playing as a fade is something completely different than playing as a marine, so how do you compare the two classes?
If the two lmg marines were above average skilled meaning they will miss at most only 10% of their lmg bullets on the fade, then the fade would probably die. However, if the fade was particularly good and just baited bullets while metabolising, he'd slaughter them on the reload. But you should've given your marines a chance against fades. I've taken out 2 hives fades with a partner with just 3/1 upgrades as LMG marines though the fades weren't that great IMO. Just give them a chance, if it didn't work, you're only down perhaps 10 res worth of meds at most, worthy risk to kill a 2 hive fade.

yep, the two of them think so alike that when the fade runs away due to low health, the marine also tries to blink and meta at a safe place before approaching the fade again.
This thread is of enormous value to the NS community. We have now discovered that by factoring the situational awareness and spatial orientation of a fade against the gun accuracy and evasive capabilitys of 2 fully upgraded marines, and while taking into account wind resistance, caffeine intake in all 3 players and temperature, mousecabelresistance measured in bar and their stomach contents, wether or not the potential possible and maybe benefits of supplying them with 4 ressource points worth of medical supplys outweigh the likelyhood of this expense going utterly to waste.

match - probably fade unless he's stupid

By winning, I mean, who kills who.
pointless arguement tbh
