Illegal operation on fmod.dll

I can't play Natural Selection becose every time when i am almost getting to server and console is almost disappearing, hl goes down and windows(ME)says:
"HL has caused illegal operation on FMOD.DLL and HL will be shutted down"
(btw, my english sux, but i hope you will understand this <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->)
Reinstalling ns and hl didn't help.
I have tried to get game working over 20 times, and it have worked 2 times <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->(btw, great game)
Can someone here help me? I maybe try now uninstall half-life and then install all mods again....

Btw, my computer:
-Windows ME
-Geforce4 ti 4200
-Celeron 800 mhz processor
-256 mt sdram

    You should make sure you have the latest version of directx installed.  An old version of directx WILL cause this to happen.

    I use OpenGl, do i still need get that newer DirectX? i have DirectX 8.1, and hl and cs work. And can you give link where i can download that?

    DirectX does much more than video cards (that's Direct3D). It does audio, input (gamepad), and etc.

    Half-Life is so old it only requires an older version of DirectX, which is why normal Half-Life, CS, and most other mods still work. But the fmod.dll is used for ingame mp3 playback by NS, and it uses a newer version of directx. Thus, you must upgrade your directx to play. Its always a good idea to update your directx anyway because they always add more features, speed, compatability, etc.
