edit: not as cool as it sounds. For every bit of 'cool' information I hear or nifty gadget I get to work with I have to deal with 5000000000 tons of bureoucracy.

edit2: That is how I am able to post. I do part of what I need to do... and now I have to wait to hear back a confirmation or other acknowledgment before I can proceed.

However, my current project has not been classified yet. It is an intelligent information system that creates 'connections' between bits of information. The more information it gathers the faster and more accurate it becomes. It hasn't been fed anything classified or sensitive yet, we just told it to go scour the internet and newspapers for information. The interface is pretty cool (think visual thesaurus meets minority report)

We just gave a tour of it to some governor's school students this summer. They thought it was pretty neat, we let them use it a bit.

(Actually, the project will never be classified. Just the data on it when it goes live. It also automatically removes classified information from non authorized viewers. I wouldn't be surprised if we made some sort of public access point to it so people can use it for research projects in the future)

They made 15 holes in that safe? They probably didn't even know what they were doing. By the way, the fact that they can drill through the safe doesn't means that the safe is cheap.

    Hows this for a safe?

Make it easily drillable, have a huge cavity filled with pressurized chlorine or some other gas that's not really healthy to breath and a warning sign(I'm pretty sure you would need at least a warning sign to store pressurized liquid chlorine legally). If they're dumb enough to drill into your reservoir of chlorine even with the warning sign, that's their problem, not yours. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Too bad stainless steel corrodes REALLY quickly in a chloride environment.

Too bad that in your haste to correct me on a mistake I didn't make(I didn't say a single word about using stainless steel) you were actually dead wrong. Chlorine is often stored in stainless steel tanks in the industry, they aren't coated on the inside with a less reactive metal or anything. If I go looking for cylinders for pressurized chlorine storage I also find ones out of aluminum alloys, which should be even more easy to drill into.

Last night, after 2:00 a.m., Sun. the 10th, we got the call that the alarm was set off again. We arrived to find that the electricity was cut off, the alarm box was cut off of the trailer, and the door was bashed in and the window was broken. They completely destroyed the snack machine, broke the TV, smashed the small glass case, stole 10 guns, 4 HP tanks, and one goggle. There were footprints everywhere, on top of the large glass case and countertop, and one computer was pushed off the counter and was hanging by its wires. The sheriffs special crime unit arrived and did a full investigation. This is a serious act of thievery which is a felony offense. Paintball Command, Gunfighter Games, MCM/Paintball Ponderosa, Sal Mortillaro, Regulatorz, Technostorm, and Hot Heads Ordnance  are offering a $1750.00  reward for information leading to the recovery of all the stolen items and the arrest and conviction of the individuals who committed this CRIME!

No, just put a pocket of gas in between two layers of the safe wall.

Someone tries to drill, and gets a cloud of noxious gas pouring out of the hole.
