Noob question on aliens construction

<div class="IPBDescription">How do i build ?</div>Hello guys, great work you have done on this Mod.
I am trying to play as an alien, even it is very difficult but I have seen so many posts on the subject...
Simple question : when I build an alien structure (as a Gorg), do I need to stick to the structure and press the Use button ? or have I finish my job ?
